Malden, MA –Stock Pot Malden (SPM) and its sister company Co-Creation Ventures (CCV) announced today that it has opened their commercial shared-use kitchen and culinary incubator at 342 Pearl Street in Malden. The launch of SPM’s newly renovated kitchen, known as “Polka Dot” for the building’s colorfully painted façade, will join the existing “Triangle” kitchen two doors down on Pearl Street, which has been in operation for food trucks and other food entrepreneurs since 2012 under the supervision of SPM Operations Manager David Stein. “Polka Dot” will also serve as the corporate headquarters for both SPM and CCV.

SPM and CCV will hold a grand opening and open house on Wednesday September 3rd from 5-9pm. Featured will be food from Brother Trucker Catering (with SPM’s David Stein, the original “Brother Trucker”), as well as refreshments, compliments of Stock Pot Malden. Events include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Malden Mayor Gary Christenson at 7:00, facility tours, networking opportunities with food entrepreneurs and innovators from throughout Massachusetts, and a reception with the Stock Pot Malden resident entrepreneurs and Boston Food Truck Alliance president Ron Sarni.

“Since I first lobbied to bring food trucks to Boston in 2012, we’ve seen the mobile food scene become one of the fastest-growing and innovative in the country,” said CCV’s Ron Sarni, who co-founded BFTA and has served as its President since then. “The opening of our second kitchen, especially one of this quality, is huge.”

“I’ve lived in Malden more than 20 years and I’m a food truck guy at heart. I’m incredibly proud that my vibrant, exciting city has become a hub for food trucks, and gratified to have had a role in that,” said SPM’s David Stein.

SPM currently houses many local food trucks, specialty food products and caterers including Benny’s Crepe Café, BoneDaddy’s Burgers, Fugu, Jamaica Mi Hungry, Makin’ Jamaican, Munch Mobile Kitchen, Sheherazad, Stoked Pizza, Taco Party, The Chicken & Rice Guys, Yumm Bai, Adey and Trill Foods.
